- PAINTING PREP – This cleaner will prep your piece to help you achieve the best outcome for your chalk painted pieces. Dissolve two heaping tablespoons of White Lightning per gallon of hot water. Squeeze excess from rag. Rinse with clean warm water and wipe after. DO not let puddles sit. This strong solution is recommended as a painting prep cleaner and not for finished pieces.
