If a higher-rated thermostat (e.g., 180°F) is used, the engine will not cool below the switch's 175°F cutoff, causing the fan to run continuously and potentially leading to insufficient cooling.

Alternatively, you may crimp/solder larger-gauge wires for pins 30 and 87 to handle the required load for the fans (10-gauge wire – 30 amps).
• If you want to turn on the fan when the A/C compressor is activated, an additional relay kit is required. Follow these steps:Connect the RED wire (Pin 30) from the A/C relay to the BLACK wire (Sender Unit) in the original fan relay harness; Connect both the GREY wire (Pin 86) and the COFFEE/BROWN wire (Pin 87) from the A/C relay to a ground; Connect the BLACK wire (Pin 85) from the A/C relay to the +12V signal on the A/C compressor clutch wire.
