Simply set the heater to any temperature and the self-regulator will keep the brooding area at your desired temperature. The light bulb is only needed for lighting (sold separately). We recommend a daylight LED bulb but it comes down to user preference. The main concern is that your birds get the exact heat they need. We take the guess work out of brooding with this automatic space heater.
