The Defender Security MP9799 Solid Brass Lock and Door Reinforcer assists in preventing forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door. It can be used to reinforce and repair metal, fiberglass and wood doors. Constructed of solid brass, the lock reinforcer plate comes in an antique brass finish. All the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation. The lock reinforcement plate is pre-punched for mounting. The reinforcer is designed for snug fit on a 1-3/4 inch thick doors. Measuring 3-7/8 inch wide by 4-1/2 inch tall, the reinforcement plate accommodates key-in knob locksets on doors that have 2-1/8 inch bore sizes, with a backset of 2-3/8 inch from the edge of the door. The door reinforcer is recessed for latch installation when door latch area is damaged. Install the door reinforcer and then insert the latch through the recessed area for proper mounting.

- NOTE – Make sure to dry fit the 3-7/8 inch wide by 4-1/2 inch tall with a 0.03 inch thickness door lock reinforcer before permanently installing and refer to the line art drawing and compare with your needs before purchasing
